Although Valve’s platform already supports hundreds of PC titles from the Steam library, this won’t be the case for Bungie’s most recent Destiny installment, Destiny 2. According to Bungie, the game isn’t supported on Valve’s handheld or any other system using Steam Play’s Proton tool. The developer adds that those attempting to bypass the game’s incompatibility with the handheld “will” be banned. “Destiny 2 is not supported for play on the Steam Deck or on any system utilizing Steam Play’s Proton unless Windows is installed and running”, Bungie writes on its official support page....

“When playing a Terror Zone-enabled game, every hour, the armies of the Burning Hells will focus their demonic might on specific zones, terrorizing them. The monsters in these zones will be at least two levels higher than your current level or their original level, up to a maximum per difficulty. The experience received and the loot dropped by killing a terrorized monster will be based on this new level. In addition, terrorized monsters will also grant additional experience points....

The US National Labor Relations Board accepted a recent petition by the aforementioned tester group to allow them to vote for unionization. As you might have expected, Activision Blizzard opposed the move, saying that a larger group of 88 developers should be included in the vote. However, that was shot down, and now, the ruling from the NLRB will allow workers to vote on forming a union. Of course, the top brass at Activision certainly didn’t agree with that move....

Double Eleven plans to expand their team to meet the challenges of Fallout 76 development, with a large number of job vacancies posted for both their UK and Malaysia offices. Fallout 76 is available now on PC, Xbox One, and PS4, and playable via backward compatibility on Xbox Series X/S and PS5. The game’s most recent season, “Invaders from Beyond” launched earlier this month.

As revealed on the Final Fantasy VII Remake official Twitter profile, the celebratory livestream will air on June 16th at 15:00 PT, 18:00 ET, 23:00 BST. It will be a “short and sweet” livestream, according to Tetsuya Nomura, but it will be packed with lots of information. While Genshin Impact 3.0 introduced part of Sumeru, the new region is actually divided between a lush jungle and desert sections. Well, it seems at least part of the desert region will arrive in update 3.1, and reliable Genshin leaker UBatcha has posted a look at its map. Their Tweet has since been deleted, but, of course, the Internet never forgets (click the image for full resolution). As you can see, Sumeru’s dry region is quite large and relatively barren, as you would expect from a desert....

When it comes to anti-cheat systems, you may have heard of popular ones such as EasyAntiCheat and BattlEye. Genshin Impact has an entirely unique anti-cheat file known as mhyprot2.sys, which miHoYo initially added to the game to prevent cheating. Towards the end of July 2022, in a report from TrendMicro, some security teams realized that the game would have far more significant issues involving that same file. That said, the anti-cheat for Genshin works as a device driver and has kernel-level authorization within your computer....
