In a new video shared on the Official Atlus West YouTube channel, game producer Kazuhisa Wada confirmed that rollback netcode will be introduced to the two versions of the game with a free update this Summer. It will be the same impressive rollback netcode that powers Guilty Gear Strive’s online multiplayer. This new partnership also exists to reveal the Private Division Development fund that the company announced to celebrate its 5th Anniversary. The fund exists to “support smaller independent development teams with project financing and mentorship opportunities to enable them to self-publish their ambitious titles.” Certainly an ambitious goal, especially with how much Private Division has helped other indie companies in the past. During a GDC 2022 design session last week, Insomniac Games lead designer, Mark Stuart, talked about the design of last year’s Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart and its characters, including the female alternate dimension version of Ratchet, Rivet. Going by Stuart’s talk, a lot of alternate names were considered for the joyful character, but eventually, the team ended up with the name ‘Rivet’. As now expressed by former lead writer Sam Maggs, however, Stuart is now seemingly taking “unilateral credit” for her hard work on the game, while she wasn’t mentioned once, despite working on Rift Apart for a year and a half and being responsible for a major part of the game’s development....

Founded in the mid-2000s, Unity’s engine is well-known enough to be used by thousands of developers and could be found in some of your favorite (and not-so-favorite) titles. However, it seems like the Game Pass service is looking to be expanded according to a recent exclusive article posted by WindowsCentral. According to the article, a Family Plan for the service is currently being considered by Microsoft to be implemented at some point this year. Some of the details seem to be quite spicy additions that could be considered. For one, paying on a higher tier for an Xbox Game Pass Family Plan will net access for five players for games across the entire library, and will be far cheaper than paying for five separate XGP accounts as is necessary today....
