The new footage, which has been shared during today’s Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, looks quite promising, showing how the game will feature a great mix of exploration, with super-hero like traversal, and combat. The trailer also confirms the game will release sometime in 2023, and it will be available on day one on Xbox Game Pass. Overwatch 2’s release date remained shrouded in mystery, but today, at the Xbox & Bethesda Game Showcase 2022, players finally got their answer relating to this. Alongside this, a brand-new trailer was released by Activision Blizzard, which you can watch below: The trailer showcases more of the original’s chaotic team-based shooter style, as well as newer hero features, like Orisa’s rework, which also got gameplay footage. Several months ago, Activision Blizzard also revealed Sojourn as its newest playable character, and she’s to be included in the game’s launch....

With that said, no game is complete with its full roster, and developer MAGES is revealing the final two characters for the game’s launch roster, being Maestra, and Artifactor. Both characters will round the game’s roster out to about 20 at launch, a modest number, not too small, like Street Fighter V’s launch, nor is it absolutely massive like Smash Ultimate’s roster of 70 at launch. The hype that was driven behind this series is not to be underestimated either, as it has been stated that this project will “shape the Silent Hill canon.” Is this a good thing? Of course, it is! Because that means that Konami is willing to essentially start experimenting with new things again, allowing people to experience horror in new ways that will make them shake in their boots. Perhaps I am naive, but I believe that the people working on this project understand what Silent Hill is and, more importantly, what the fanbase wants from it....
