The second entry in the series, which was previously known as Codename Heron, will be a full-blown sequel to the original built on Remedy’s proprietary Northlight engine, as confirmed on Remedy’s official website, and will launch on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on a yet-to-be-confirmed release date, which is likely not getting announced anytime soon, as the game is still in the conceptual stage. Control 2’s initial development budget amounts to EUR 50 million, and Remedy will retain the ownership of the game’s intellectual property....

The Unofficial Content Patch introduces a new, fully explorable area where players can find some additional items. The area isn’t particularly big, but the fact that a modder was able to add a fully-featured location to the game is definitely impressive. Developer Krat0es also promises more mods of this kind in the future, so it will be interesting how the game will be expanded in the coming weeks. What it does: Opens up a new area to explore with rewards inside....

The user who originally discovered the exploit, whose details have been recently shared online, confirmed to VGC that the exploit has been completely fixed in the latest game by From Software. The developer also fixed several other exploits that have been documented by the developer of the fan-made Dark Souls Blue Sentinel anti-cheat system. Even though these exploits have been fixed in Elden Ring, there are still some lingering issues in the new game by From Software....

According to the report, the plot will introduce new elements and characters to the Death Stranding universe. It is currently unclear whether the existing characters will be played by the same actors seen in the game (Norman Reedus, Léa Seydoux, Mads Mikkelsen, Lindsay Wagner, Tommie Earl Jenkins, Margaret Qualley), though it would be strange otherwise, given that they’re all very much familiar with shooting live action films. Hideo Kojima said in an official statement: I couldn’t be more excited about this new partnership with Hammerstone Studios....

The new video, which has been put together by MxBenchmarkPC, highlights the improvements FSR 2.0 brought compared to the previous version. In some instances, the game running with FSR 2.0 looks almost as good as with NVIDIA DLSS, with the added benefit that users do not need to have an RTX 2000, 3000 series GPU to use it. Deathloop is only one of the games that support and will soon support AMD FSR 2....

At least, that’s what sources have reportedly told XboxEra owner Nick Baker, aka Shpeshal Ed. As revealed by Baker in his latest XboxEra podcast, a source reached out to him to talk about the possibility that Forspoken might get delayed once more, although this delay is said to be related to the development of the new upcoming Final Fantasy entry for PlayStation 5. “So my source reached out to me and mentioned something”, Shpeshal Ed said....

As for what form Miyazaki’s next game might take, he isn’t providing many details right now, although he’d like to continue to focus on fantasy with a “higher degree of abstraction than past works.” Considering how strange and mysterious games like Dark Souls and Elden Ring already are, a “higher degree of abstraction” could result in something pretty out-there! Per Miyazaki, there are a lot of discarded fantasy ideas and images rattling around his head that wouldn’t necessarily fit with the action-RPG genre he’s most known for, hinting his next project may be a somewhat different type of game....

AD Massicuro recently shared a new 8K resolution video showing the game running with ray tracing global illumination, increased FOV, and camera mod.
