Microsoft is introducing a new controller bar feature that provides easy, controller-friendly access to recently played games and game launchers. “The controller bar opens when you pair or connect a controller to your Windows 11 PC running the latest Insider Preview build in the Dev and Beta Channels,” the Windows development team writes. “Your most recently played games and installed game launchers are just a button press away. Invoke the controller bar when you’re not already in a game, by pressing the Xbox button on your controller....

The full response drafted by Microsoft lawyers was released by CNBC. Over its 37 pages, the Xbox company goes as far as claiming that the FTC’s proceedings are essentially in violation of the Constitution of the United States of America. Here’s an excerpt from the final section titled Affirmative and Other Defenses. The Commission’s procedures violate Microsoft’s right to procedural due process under the Due Process Clause of the Fifth Amendment....

After spending six months in space, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) astronaut Raja Chari provided an update about his physical condition yesterday evening. Chari was part of the NASA-SpaceX Crew-3 mission that took to the skies on board SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket in November last year and returned to Earth earlier this month. Crew-3 was Chari’s maiden spaceflight and the astronaut was a fighter pilot serving with the United States Air Force when he was selected by NASA for astronaut training in 2017....

Now, Inflexion Games has been featured in the latest PC Gamer magazine issue, revealing new juicy details about Nightingale. The Canadian developers have said that the game includes several renowned historical figures, such as two-time Nobel winner Marie Curie, American journalist and world trip record-breaker Nellie Bly, and plenty more as NPCs. NPCs in Nightingale will also eventually be recruitable by players, as outlined by the studio. Hello Games is far from done with No Man’s Sky, though, as revealed by founder Sean Murray to IGN. The Guildford-based independent studio is also working on a new game, as announced back in September 2020. Not much is known about it other than it’ll be a huge and ambitious game like No Man’s Sky (though no direct sequel), whereas the puzzle game The Last Campfire (released in August 2020 on PC, consoles, and iOS) was much smaller in scope and scale....

Chip designer NVIDIA Corporation pre-released its earnings report for its second fiscal quarter earlier today, with the results showing large drops in revenue over the company’s Q2 guidance.
