As reported by Gematsu, the game’s rating can be found on the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea’s website. The rating confirms that the game will be published by UNIANA, which publishes Konami games in South Korea, in the region, but doesn’t specify on which platform. As for what Silent Hill: The Short Message could be, no one can say at this point, but it’s likely it is the Sakura demo that was leaked online a few weeks ago....

Alongside Silent Hill 2, there’s mention of Silent Hill: Ascension and Return to Silent Hill, which could be the names of new entries in the series. We do know that a new movie based on the series is in the works, so either could also be the name of such a movie....

Well, according to the frequently leaky Tom Henderson, Ubisoft is planning to re-reveal Skull and Bones the week of July 4th via a livestream featuring a trailer, gameplay, developer commentary, and more. It’s also expected we’ll get a release date. In a bit of further evidence something may be brewing, Skull and Bones has been rated by the Brazilian Advisory Board. Of course, take all of this with a grain of salt for now, but Ubisoft does currently have Skull and Bones listed for a FY2023 release (which runs until March 31, 2023), so some sort of pending reveal would make sense....

Given the footage shown, Black Dahlia’s gameplay loop revolves around staying in the mid-range, using her projectiles and command jumps to keep the pressure on, with several multi-hitting normals and other attacks. In a sense, the gun she carries acts like Happy Chaos’s gun in Guilty Gear Strive (she’ll have to manage its ammo during gameplay)....

In October of this year, we reported that modder ‘PureDark’ was working on an upscaler mod for various titles, including Skyrim, Fallout 4, and Resident Evil Village. As part of its testing campaign for the Starship launch vehicle platform, SpaceX conducted two important tests yesterday in its facilities in Boca Chica, Texas. The company is currently developing its Starship next generation launch vehicle platform in Texas, and the rocket is made of a first stage booster and the upper stage spacecraft. SpaceX tested both of their engines through a static fire test, in a more cautious approach that reflected a major accident last month that threatened to damage the 33 engines present on the booster....

As part of its launch campaign for its Mars rocket, Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (SpaceX) lifted the Super Heavy booster prototype of its Starship next generation rocket with a crane in its testing facilities in Boca Chica, Texas on Friday. As opposed to its Falcon 9 rockets which are assembled before being sent out to the pad, SpaceX plans to lift the two pieces of Starship on the launch pad itself, and to do this, the company has built a large crane structure....

Spectre V2 hits Intel and ARM CPUs once again, affecting newer Intel and Arm cores BHI is a proof-of-concept attack affecting vulnerable CPUs open to Spectre V2 exploits. The interesting part of this particular attack is that several mitigations were currently in place on the affected CPUs. BHI avoids the Intel Enhanced Indirect Branch Restricted Speculation (EIBRS) and the Arm ID_PFR0_EL1 CSV2 assignment. VUSec reports that BHI enables cross-privilege Spectre-v2 exploits, allowing kernel-to-kernel (intra-mode BTI) exploits and permitting attackers to place predictor entries into the global branch prediction history make kernel leak data....

Splatoon 3 will take place in what’s known as the Splatlands, a sun-scorched desert inhabited by battle-hardened Inklings and Octolings. Splatsville, the city of chaos, is the adrenaline-fueled heart of this dusty wasteland. Even then, the game will still have some chaotic PvP, PvE, and single-player content. Splatoon 3’s Turf War is going to be 4v4 and the goal continues to be to paint as much of the area in your team’s ink as possible....

Of course, take this all with a grain of salt for now, but a new trailer at The Game Awards would certainly make a lot of sense, as it seems like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is launching early in 2023. Rumors of a March release have been circulating for a while and EA’s most recent earnings report seemed to back that up. Haven’t been keeping up with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor?...

One of the big reveals at Sunday’s showcase was space combat, which according to Howard won’t feel too twitchy. The developer also confirmed that you can board ships and even steal them, as well as smuggle goods across the galaxy as if you were Han Solo. Howard also commented on Starfield’s main quest length, which should be quite a bit larger than Skyrim and Fallout 4’s at around 40 hours....

Tech channel Analista De Bits released two comparisons following yesterday’s release of the cat game, including a comparison between the different PlayStation consoles, and one that compares the game’s visuals on Sony’s consoles to those on PC and Steam Deck. The March 2022 update, which has been announced with a new trailer, will not only introduce balance changes for all characters, but also two graphics filters that can only be used while playing offline: cel-shading and pixel. The update will also add new Tracksuit colors, new CAP-Jams remixes. The update will go live on March 29th. With Street Fighter 6 being in full development, nothing major is expected to hit Street Fighter V: Champion Edition in the future....
