While the Nioh series has been seemingly been put on hold, Team Ninja is hardly done with challenging action role-playing games, or Masocore games, as they are called in Japan, and are hard at work on Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, a game that has the potential of becoming Team Ninja’s Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and a hit on his own right. Prior to all this, though, Yoshida and other Final Fantasy XVI developers such as director Hiroshi Takai were making a game he described to be similar to FromSoftware’s Bloodborne, albeit with the addition of asymmetrical multiplayer. In his biweekly Famitsu column (via VG247), Yoshida talked a bit about this project that eventually got canceled. Yoshida and his team may have not gone forward with their project, but Bloodborne fans can still hope FromSoftware will one day return to the IP, as teased recently by former IGN journalist Colin Moriarty....

At least, that’s what VentureBeat journalist Jeff Grubb said in his latest “Jeff Grubb’s Game Mess” episode when asked about the Zelda ports for Nintendo’s hybrid platform. Both Zelda games have long been rumored to receive a Switch release, and many expected Nintendo to release the games as part of Zelda’s 35th anniversary last year. Unfortunately, both titles weren’t officially announced and Nintendo even said that it, aside from the Zelda Game & Watch, doesn’t have “any [Zelda] campaigns or other Nintendo Switch games planned” as part of the celebration....
